#01 Alone in a Crowd [ER-S11E15] | Rossana F. Photography

“Ellie Shore is a mother of three who has a stroke and cannot speak. While she is treated, we are inside her head, hearing her thoughts.” (source)

I was coming from an induced coma first time I saw this episode. It felt like a wake call. It’s totally different when we observe the scene from the outside. Though I was aware I had a tracheostomy before watching it, I think I had never realized I couldn’t talk.
Confused? Me too. It still seems strange when I look back.
While lying in the IC bed I remember making questions and being answered, all fruit of my imagination. The minutes are all the same there, visits are restricted to 5 minutes each, days are the same as nights, just the beep of the monitors 24/7. Though the room was full of nurses and doctors coming and going, I was there swinging alone with my thoughts, conspiring…

Confusos?

      Obrigada!
