These past weeks I’ve been too busy helping in a solidarity event. Though it is gratifying and I don’t regret what I’m doing, I miss my laptop, my blog, my photos… in two words… I miss me.
Internet visits are limited to a mobile connection. At the end of the day, when I would have spare time to sit and relax, I’m too tired and all I can think of is a good night sleep.
Yesterday while I was waiting for visitors at the exhibit I forced myself to turn on the laptop and prepare a couple of photos. I travelled through last year’s photos and stopped at these two, taken at the same place, mount Santa Luzia, Viana do Castelo.
If you go to Santa Luzia, there’s no way to miss the “à la minute” photographer. He’s been there since I can remember. Even if you won’t buy him a photo, stop for awhile and watch his work. You’ll enjoy a journey back in time.
Once there wait for the sunset and the magical moment when the lights go up. You’ll have a beautiful view of the Lima valley from up there, the city of Viana do Castelo, the river and the sea, all guarded by the Santa Luzia Temple.
