As promised, today I’m writing a few lines about freelensing. The concept crossed my way a few days ago and it is quite simple and funny.
What is it freelensing? Basically, free the lens from your camera body. That’s all!
Unscrew your lens and put it a few millimeters away from the camera while looking through the viewfinder. As you move the lens in front of the body you will see the focus changing. All you must do is trying to find the best angle and have fun with the results.
It takes a lot of “shooting and deleting” and you will never get to two pictures alike. Don’t do it on a windy day unless you want to candidate for a new sensor. My final advice is, start indoors, it will be easier if you use a lens with a manual aperture ring, focus to infinite and, most important of all, have fun.
I’m Loving It!!
